About Pen Slaney
“My painting style is primarily influenced by my love of vintage fashion and design. A lot of my inspiration comes from vintage fashion magazines, TV an films particularly from the 60’s and 70’s era. I love the glamorous tailoring, draped fabrics and bold accessories, along with the soft-focus photography and unique features of the models. I often begin with a vintage image and create my own vision of it, changing the setting and adding new colours, layers and details to build a new story."
